BOBBY MAPESA RELEASES NEW GOSPEL SONG

Barely a month after rapper Bobby
Mapesa announced his new found
salvation, the “Tuzidi” rapper has
released his first gospel song.
The jam dubbed, “Nisamehe” in
which he seeks God’s forgiveness for
his sinful life in the past is the first
single off his upcoming gospel album
titled Mtoi Wa Mungu.
Last month, the rapper had
exclusively told Nation.co.ke that he
got saved when he decided to go to
church for the first time in 11 years
after his mother invited him to
accompany her first the Sunday
service that concurred with Mother’s
Day.
HAD A CHANGE OF HEART
He said during the service, the
pastor’s sermon spoke to him and he
had a change of heart — that all the
beef and negativity does not seem
worth it now.
“I hope that anyone I ever wronged
forgives me, I have found it in my
heart to forgive anyone that offended
me. I now have an open heart and I
realise that all this beef and
negativity isn’t everything and I’m
inviting everyone to join me,” he
said.
Owing to his bad boy image, his news
of salvation caught many of guard
with a section of his fans on various
social platform congratulating him
for the bold move, while others
thought it was but just a publicity
stunt, terming it the joke of the year.
However these are views that he still
vehemently denies insisting that the
new jam is enough proof.
Mapesa who came back to the music
scenes two years ago after going
underground for close to five years,
is best known for some of the most
vulgar lyrics in the Kenyan music
industry.
