CBK is determined to send rogue bankers to jail for cooking books and stealing from Kenyans in the long run.
Speaking yesterday, CBK Governor Patrick Njoroge said that he is investigating officers in National Bank, Dubai Bank, Imperial Bank and Chase Bank to ensure those found guilty are sent to prison.
“I would like to assure Kenyans that those who were involved in any wrong doing in the banks will not go scot-free.”Njoroge said
“We will have to ensure that they not only refund money but also action taken against them to return sanity to the financial institutions,” Njoroge added.
He asked for support from MPs to help him punish rogue bankers as he seeks to return sanity to the banking sector.
