One person was injured in a fire at Save the Children centre in Westlands, Nairobi, on Friday.
Witnesses said the fire broke out at the organisation's warehouse after a guard walked in with a cigarette.
Reports indicated that a jerrican of petrol, that may not have been properly sealed, was in the warehouse. Generators are stored in the warehouse.
The guard who tried to put out the fire was examined by paramedics from the county. County firefighters reported to the scene.
