KAGERE SET FOR GOR RETURN

Prolific Rwanda striker Meddie Kagere will return to Kenyan Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia during the June transfer window club chairman Ambrose Rachier has confirmed.
Speaking to Kenyan Update Rachier said the clubs priority was to strength their attacking force for that has struggled to get goals whenever main striker; Jacques Tuyisenge who has netted seven goals so far this season is absent.

“We are talking to Kagere and other possible strikers because we have realized that our striking force has been a little bit bland when our dependable striker is injured.
“It’s not that others are not good enough but we want to sharpen the striking force. I spoke to him on Friday and most likely he will be coming back. I can confirm that during the window we intent to sign one or two strikers,” said the chairman.
Kagere who was part of the Green Army ‘Invincibles’ of last season where he netted with 13 league goals having played all 30 matches and was Gor’s second top scorer behind Kenyan international Michael Olunga .
K’Ogalo who are third in the league will not be spending heavily in the transfer window according to the club chairman.
“We won’t do a heavy recruitment during the transfers, we are lucky to have a coach who is proactive and has suggested the name of the players that he wants. So we are waiting for the window to open then we engage other players who the coach has suggested,” insisted Rachier.
Gor will face off with in form Mathare United in a top of the table clash this weekend.
