Vimla Vaghela, aged 54, lost her mind and
accused her husband Narsinh of cheating on
her when he turned down her offer to have
sex with her at their family home.
She picked up a big stick and repeatedly beat
him over the head until he lost his conscience
and passed away of multiple injuries.
Afterwards, Vaghela locked her house and
went to the nearby police station to tell
officers about her husband’s death.
There she tried to convince police officers
that she had killed him in self-defence but
after investigation she was charged with
murder.
The woman was found guilty, was fined 2,000
rupees (around N5.900) and sentenced for
life.
Besides, if she defaults on the fine, she will
have to serve another six months in prison.
A similar incident happened months ago
to a man who was badly beaten by his ex-
spouse for suggesting boring sex position .
