The Gunners have an interest in the 24-year-
old Valencia centre-back as they hunt for a
new defender following an injury that’s set to
keep Per Mertesacker on the sidelines until
around Christmas.
Highly-rated Germany international Mustafi,
who had a spell at Everton as a youngster,
has a £42.1m clause in his contract.
But he is understood to be interested in
working with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, and
it’s believed Valencia would be prepared to
sell for around £25m.
