Many married men are increasingly resorting to extra-marital affairs unlike in the early 60s when cheating was uncommon.
A number of reasons have fueled this trend. Below are some of them;
Technology
The advancement in technology has brought about more freedom and opportunity. Social media has made communication so easy and flirting can even be done under the nose of the wife. These include Facebook, 2go, Whatsapp and Imo among others.
Boredom
Married men are said to engage in affairs due to boredom in the marriage or wife who is always available. It is joked that you cannot eat cabbages every day and so some men go out to kill boredom or break the monotony by engaging in cheating.
Neglect
Some wives are busy attending to the children and thus forget their husbands. The small attention they can get from outside easily carries them away and there begins an affair which is sometimes unplanned for.
Lust
Men have a weakness for loving what they see. It's the lust they have towards other women that pulls them to start an affair. There is no way they can avoid seeing the tempting women who parade themselves with revealing clothes and seductive postures.
Thrill
Some say there is a special excitement that comes along with getting involved with another woman especially when it comes to flirting and sexy chats which wives cannot entertain.
