Cord’s communications director, Philiph Etale, has only stated that “ my boss Raila Odinga’s vehicle was hit at today as they went to the IEBC offices.”
But Raila’s personal assistant Dennis Onyango has stated categorically that the vehicle was shot at and posted the photo below:
Raila’s personal assistant Dennis Onyango posted this photo on his Facebook page claiming that Raila’s vehicle windscreen “was shattered by a bullet.”
The US embassy in Nairobi sent an alert to its citizens living in the country to avoid using Ngong’ Road as protesters from Kibera were apparently stoning motorists who did not stop.
Today’s demonstrations received support from Kenya’s independence party, Kanu, through its leader Nick Salat.
