A Jubilee member of Parliament has
pleaded with deputy President William Ruto to
stop demeaning the opposition and talking ill of
them in every forum he attends.
Emurua Dikir MP, Johanna Nge'no said it is
wrong for Ruto to be attacking the opposition
every time he opens his mouth, saying that it
jeopardises efforts of uniting the nation.
Nge'no called on Ruto to focus on telling
Kenyans what Jubilee has done so far and let
the opposition be.
Speaking Sunday in Kuresoi, Nge'no said that it
is ironic for Ruto to continue doing things he
bashes the opposition for.
"I always wonder why the DP must continue
attacking the opposition everywhere he goes.
Instead of telling Kenyans what the
government has done, he is busy attacking
CORD and its leadership," said Nge'no.
"By always attacking the opposition, the DP is
no different from them because he is doing the
same things he wants the opposition to stop
doing," he said.
The legislator said Ruto does not have to
always answer the opposition.
"It is not necessary for Ruto to be answering
the opposition anytime they speak or do
something. The best way is for him to keep
quiet and let his lieutenants do that job. The
DP should use his time to talk about more
important issues instead of fighting CORD," he
said.
"This habit of demeaning the opposition when
all they are doing is their work will one day
work against him and I pray he desist from it
before its too late," said Nge'no.
